Writers or readers may submit entries, but please read the instructions carefully! We will consider a single news/feature/op-ed story or three examples from a regular column as one entry. If relevant, you may include explanatory notes giving some context for your entry. For example, stories that would seem like modest achievements in some communities may deserve additional consideration when printed in a conservative community or publication.
Entries for the 2009 awards must be received by: March 31, 2009
Stories must have been published between January 1 and December 31, 2008 in a U.S. or Canadian publication. Winners will receive a plaque and a modest cash award and be honored at a Sexies award ceremony.
We ask for (but do not require) a donation of $10 per entry to cover our expenses and make sure the awards continue. To make your donation, follow the link on the thank you page after you submit your entry, and note in the memo line what entries it accompanies.
